Martin, Leigh, Laws & Fritzlen, P.C. is pleased to announce that Scott M. Brinkman has joined the firm as Senior Counsel. Starting on June 7, 2010 he will be practicing in the Kansas City office.  Mr. Brinkman is a 1989 graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law, where he was an Associate Editor of the Law Review.  Mr. Brinkman has over twenty years of litigation experience, both as a law clerk to Judge John W. Lungstrum of the United States District Court for the District of Kansas and in private practice.  For the last ten years, Mr. Brinkman has practiced at the Kansas City office of Lewis, Rice & Fingersh L.C., where he was a partner.  Mr. Brinkman has litigated numerous complex business cases, concentrating in commercial, employment, banking, telecommunications, insurance, construction, real estate, foreclosure and class action litigation.  Mr. Brinkman has substantial trial experience in both federal and state court, and also has extensive appellate practice and alternative dispute resolution experience.  Mr. Brinkman is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in both Missouri and Kansas, the Eighth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeal, and the United States Supreme Court.
