Friendship House/Catherine's Place 2007
Martin, Leigh, Laws and Fritzlen, P.C. along with MoKan Title Services, Inc. have decided to adopt a charity for 2007. The Friendship House/Catherine’s Place is the charity we have chosen for this year. We are very excited to be working with such a great charity!
Friendship House/Catherine’s Place was established in 1992 and is located in the historic Hyde Park district. This residential program provides structure and support for women in recovery from alcoholism and other drug additions. The facility can accommodate up to eight to ten families. The most urgent need of women recovering from alcohol and drug dependency is for residential programs in which their children can participate with them.
2007 is a big year for The Friendship House/Catherine’s Place. It has undertaken a capital campaign to raise money to renovate it's current residential facility. Our goal is to raise $5,000 for this worthy cause!! We can do it!
Here’s how you can help:
Jeans For A Cause Mondays
You love wearing jeans on Fridays, right? How would you like to wear jeans on Mondays as well? For the rest of 2007, all employees that donate $5 per Monday will be able to wear jeans on a Monday (this includes MoKan Closers!). For example-if you donate $30.00, you will be able to wear jeans on 6 Mondays. We will be monitoring this very closely; only those that participate will be able to wear jeans on Mondays. If you would like to participate, a donation box is set up in Lisa’s office.
Bake Sale
We will organize bake sales for the months of April, July and September. All proceeds from the bake sale will be donated to The Friendship House/Catherine’s Place. Dates and details for this event will be given at a later date. We'll be looking for volunteers to bake!
Volunteering:
Throughout the year The Friendship House/Catherine's Place has events to help raise money. Volunteering at an event is a great way to give back to the community and help out! I will keep you informed on future events and how to get involved.
We welcome any ideas that you may have and encourage you all to participate for a good cause!
